The video, which went viral on social media platform X (Formerly Twitter), shows the employee using his gloved finger to pick his nose and then wiping it on the dough.

When interviewed by The Japan News, the employee admitted to the act, saying he thought it would be funny but regretted his actions. As a result, Domino’s has terminated the employment of the individuals involved.

Domino’s Pizza Japan issued an official apology on its social media account, stating that the incident took place at their Amagasaki store in Hyogo Prefecture after hours, The Japan Times reported. The company assured the public that none of the contaminated dough was used in any pizzas, and all remaining dough was disposed of, the news agency added.

In an apology, Domino’s promised to take steps to ensure such incidents never happen again and expressed deep regret for any discomfort caused to its customers. The store involved has been temporarily closed, and the employees are facing disciplinary action, including the possibility of legal consequences.

There have been instances in the past where unclean practices have been exposed in relation to the food we eat. One such incident involved a canteen worker whose unusual practice was captured in a viral video. The worker was seen standing in a large container and using his feet to stamp on the contents of the container, which appeared to be a dish made with gravy. It was not clear whether the worker was preparing the dish or cleaning it.

There was reportedly an incident that started in the mess facilities of OP Jindal Global University (JGU). As a result, the University issued an official notice to students and parents, assuring them of a thorough investigation into the matter.

According to an article in the Times of India, the registrar of the university released a statement stating that they had taken a matter related to food preparation by a food service company very seriously. They assured that they had made sure that the food material would not be consumed by anyone in the JGU community. As an immediate action, they served a show-cause notice to the CEO of the company, asking for a written explanation and assurances regarding the matter.
