‘Get Shorty’ Epix Series Rounds Out Regular Cast With Megan Stevenson & Lucy Walters
Epix has rounded out the series regular cast for its new dark comedy Get Shorty with production about to get underway in Los Angeles. The premium cabler confirmed that Sean Bridgers (Rectify, Room), Lidia Porto (Horrible Bosses 2), Megan Stevenson (Review), Goya Robles (11:55), Lucy Walters (Power) and Carolyn Dodd (The Adventures of Catty Wompus) will join the cast.
Series stars Chris O’Dowd and Ray Romano most recently were reported to be close to deals1, and those have now closed.

The hourlong original series is a reimagining of Elmore Leonard’s 1990 bestselling thriller comedy novel previously adapted by MGM with Barry Sonnefeld’s 1995 feature starring John Travolta, Danny DeVito, Gene Hackman and Rene Russo.
Written by Davey Holmes, Get Shorty centers on Miles Daly (O’Dowd), a hitman from Nevada who tries to become a movie producer in Hollywood as a means to leave his criminal past behind.
Romano would is Rick, a washed-up producer of low-quality films who becomes Miles’ partner and guide through the maze of Hollywood.
Bridgers will play Louis, Miles’ partner within the organization.
Porto will portray Amara, the godmother of a Nevada crime ring.
