I’m Sophie Labelle (in case you couldn’t tell by the big bold letters). I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and started dancing as a tiny three year old. I continued on to train in dance at a pre-professional level for over 15 years and in voice for over 8 years.
While attending Tisch School Of the Arts at NYU my primary training was in experimental theatre and my advanced training was completed at Stonestreet Studios- which specializes in acting for film and television. During my time at Stonestreet I quickly realized that film and television was where I wanted to be.
Since graduating in May I’ve been auditioning and working regularly (while holding down a million other jobs of course) and though I’m aware performing is a never-ending learning process; I feel consistent in my work, confident in my abilities and ready to take on whatever comes next.
As an actor I am dedicated, passionate, and hard working- I aspire to engage audiences and become a powerful female voice in the industry. As a person- I am open, generous and thoroughly enjoy making people laugh (don’t let the tattoos fool you- I like cat videos just like everyone else.)
