Aidan Maese-Czeropski, a.k.a. the “Senate Twink,” has given his first interview since being fired from his Capitol Hill job following a sex tape scandal involving another man.

Maese-Czeropski said he “spent time in the psych ward” after the video went viral and ended up relocating to Sydney, Australia.

He’s also embraced the moniker and created an OnlyFans account to make adult content.

Aidan Maese-Czeropski, better known as the “Senate Twink,” has given his first interview since being fired from his Washington, D.C.. job following a December 2023 sex tape scandal.

Maese-Czeropski spoke with Gay Sydney News about the aftermath of the incident — in which he allegedly recorded himself having sex with an unseen man in a Senate hearing room while working as a legislative aide for Maryland Sen. Ben Cardin.

“Mentally, I spent a little bit in the psych ward after the fact,” he shared. “It’s overwhelming to realize and to know that tens of millions of people literally despise you.”

“Everyone in D.C. knew me, and it was kind of gross and horrifying because I’m not someone who likes to be in the public spotlight at all,” he continued.

With government employment out of the question due to his sudden infamy at 24 years old, Maese-Czeropski bought a one-way ticket to Cape Town, South Africa, where he met a stranger who changed the course of his life.

“She told me, ‘Aiden, you should move to Sydney. You would love it there. You would fit right in. You could get a fresh start,’ ” he recalled. “I took a risk… I love it here and I’m glad that I took that jump … because it is the greatest city in the world.”

Maese-Czeropski has spent time in California recently, but plans to return to Sydney again soon once he completes a working holiday visa requirement. He is keeping his focus on improving mental health.

“My therapist told me, ‘You have PTSD,’ and I don’t have any shame in that,” he shared candidly. “When you go through something like that, it is just overwhelming and difficult to even comprehend.”

Part of the way he coped with the scandal was by embracing the “Senate Twink” moniker, changing his social media handles and starting an OnlyFans page with adult content.

“I got some flack when I first created my OnlyFans, ’cause people were like, ‘Okay, he’s washed up. Why is he doing this now? Who cares?’ ” Maese-Czeropski recalled.

“But it’s not just about the money,” he insisted. “It’s also about my mental health. It’s also about my family and their mental health. I just needed a lot of time to process the scandal because it was very, very difficult.”

He also feels the backlash was more intense for him as the visible, passive partner in the Senate sex tape.

“I’ve noticed…the passive partner tends to take more of the blame,” he noted. “I got all these death threats, hatred. And the guy who was the top didn’t.”

For now, Maese-Czeropski is enjoying his new life in Australia — with occasional trips back to the U.S. to see family and friends. He said the change in location has given him a new lease on life.

“You cannot be terminally online,” he cautioned. “People online will say crazy shit about you. Just ignore it. Touch grass, honestly.”

As for the future?

“My dream in life is to open a pigeon sanctuary,” he revealed. “I’m very into birds. I love pigeons.”
