Right when we thought that Zoom-bombing was long dead and buried, someone has managed to showcase their dastardly skills on the Italian Government.
Gathering for a discussion of data transparency in political decision making, the Italian Senate managed to see some very unique data – an ultra-high definition 3D rendered sex scene of Final Fantasy 7’s Tifa Lockhart.

One speaker was mid-sentence, discussing the results of medical and scientific research; when another Zoom attendees screenshare became active – showcasing the extremely lewd content. What followed was a brief moment of confusion and panic, with one of the event organisers asking for assistance with removing the offending party.
The event was titled For a transparent PA, open data for the political decision-maker, and was also apparently being live broadcast on an Italian news network TV feed. Attendees included a mixture of Italian politicians and subject matter experts, with a notable inclusion being world renowned physicist and academic Giorgio Parisi, who won the Nobel Prize in 2021 for physics – and arguably didn’t expect to see a showcase of soft breast physics in 3D rendering as part of the event.
While the offending section has now been edited out of the recording of the event, the clip and it’s reactions are doing the rounds on most social media platforms.
Senator Maria Laura Mantovani has told an Italian news outlet that the incident has been reported to the police, while the rest of the internet is just in awe that such an occurrence could take place.
I assume whoever produced the material is enjoying their mainstream debut.
