MAGA Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) told former Fox host Tucker Carlson she believes House Speaker Mike Johnson is a “Democrat Speaker,” and that there is no difference between Johnson and former Democratic Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“This isn’t a Republican Speaker we have right now, this is a Democrat Speaker of the House,” Greene said. “There is zero daylight between what Nancy Pelosi did last Congress, and what Mike Johnson is doing now as our so-called Republican Speaker of the House.”

Mike Johnson is ideologically one of the most right-wing House Speakers in U.S. history. He supports a national total abortion and IVF ban, the criminalization of homosexuality, and is a patently pro-Trump election denier. But for someone as extreme as Greene, that makes him just another lib.

Greene has filed a motion to vacate Johnson’s Speakership after a vote to keep the government funded through the fall passed the House last month. She will have to formally bring the motion forward for a vote in the House if she actually hopes to remove Johnson.

It appears, however, she doesn’t have enough support for such a vote for the time being and is content to simply hold the motion over Johnson’s head.
