One political analyst predicted the pro-ET platform might “raise a few thousand dollars, but she’s also going to get a lot of really weird looks.”

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) is apparently centering her reelection campaign on aliens.

On Monday, the Colorado lawmaker sent an email to conservatives questioning the existence of ETs and demanding that the government be transparent about UFOs, now officially known as unidentified anomalous phenomena or UAPs.

In an email obtained by Denver Fox affiliate KDVR, Boebert says that the government “has shrouded the truth about UFOs in a veil of secrecy” for decades, and that “strange crafts have been spotted soaring through our skies, defying the laws of physics.”

Despite the signs, Bobert said, “the bureaucrats in Washington act like we’re too NAIVE to handle the facts,” and “tell us we’re crazy like we can’t see these things flying through the air with ouàr own eyes.”

She then declares in all caps that “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!” and insists that “the American people aren’t children to be spoon-fed half-truths or dismissed with vague excuses. We deserve to know what’s really going on up there.”

The email reportedly links to a website that asks, “Are aliens real?!” and asks for donations to the Lauren Boebert for Congress campaign.

Boebert did not immediately reply to HuffPost’s request for comment on the email.

Although her district is considered safely Republican, at least one political expert isn’t sure the lawmaker’s ET-focused campaign platform will win over voters.

“This is almost a cry for help in politics, to be honest,” Democratic analyst Andy Boian told KDVR. “She may raise a few thousand dollars, but she’s also going to get a lot of really weird looks.”

It won’t be the first time.

Last November, Boebert asked witnesses during a House Oversight Committee hearing if they were familiar with a rumored Department of Defense project “involving the manipulation of human genetics with non-human genetic material, potentially for the enhancement of human capabilities, hybrids.”
