Inspired by Lord Rama, a man in India gifts his mother footwear made from his own skin
A man in Madhya Pradesh, influenced by Lord Rama, has recently made headlines for an unusual gesture towards his mother. Raunak Gurjar, a history-sheeter from Ujjain, presented his mother with a unique gift – footwear crafted from his own skin. This incident took place during the seven-day Bhagwat Katha at the Akhada ground in Sandipani Nagar of Ujjain.
According to a report by Times Now, Gurjar, who had previously been shot in the leg by the police, underwent a procedure to remove skin from his thigh. He then donated this skin to a cobbler, who skillfully fashioned it into a pair of footwear.
“I regularly recite the Ramayana and find deep inspiration in the character of Lord Rama. Lord Rama himself said that even making sandals from one’s own skin is not enough for one’s mother. So, this idea came to my mind, and I decided to make footwear from my skin and gift them to my mother,” Times Now quoted Gurjar as saying.
Gurjar, as reported by News18, expressed his belief, “I want to convey to society that heaven lies at the feet of the parents. The father is the ladder to heaven, while the mother is the one who will guide you there.”
During the Bhagavad Katha proceedings guided by Jitendra Maharaj, Gurjar adorned his mother’s feet with footwear made from his own skin, as reported by The Free Press Journal.
This selfless act deeply moved Gurjar’s mother, who couldn’t hold back her tears. “I consider myself fortunate to have a son like Ronak. May God protect him from all hardships and bless him with a life devoid of any sorrow,” The Free Press Journal quoted Gurjar’s mother as saying.
If dude is trying to patent this Human Skin Shoe, he’s out of luck… Apparently many people already made shoes using human skin eg.
