New research led by Louisiana State University suggests that if there ever were to be a nuclear war between Russia and the US, it would likely trigger a ‘Little Ice Age’ lasting thousands of years.
Russia has issued several doomsday threats to the West amid heightened tensions over Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
Just last month the Kremlin warned that Europe would disappear in a nuclear apocalypse – a verbal attack in response to Western allies promising more weaponry to besieged Kyiv.

The US will feel the “wrath of God” if it helps to establish an international tribunal to investigate alleged Russian war crimes — so says Vladimir Putin’s right-hand man on Russia’s Security Council.
Dmitry Medvedev, Putin’s deputy on the powerful governing body, made the threat Wednesday in a long diatribe on Telegram, in which he accused Americans of trying “to judge others while staying immune from any trial.
“All American history, from the time of the conquest of the Indians, is a bloody war of annihilation,” Medvedev said.

Russian House Speaker Threatens to ‘Take Back’ Alaska
“Let them think before they act that we, too, have something to take back.”
The speaker of Russia’s lower house of parliament threatened Wednesday to “claim back” Alaska if the United States froze or seized Russian assets as punishment for its invasion of Ukraine.
“Let America always remember: there’s a piece of territory, Alaska,” Vyacheslav Volodin said at the last session of parliament, the State Duma, before it goes on summer break.

Russia Seems To Be Preparing The Vital Kerch Bridge For Missile Attacks
Deployment of decoy barges and smokescreens implies Russia is preparing for a possible attack on its highly prized Kerch Strait Bridge.
Russia has deployed a number of countermeasures to the Kerch Strait
Bridge connecting Russia and Crimea, including decoy barges covered in radar reflectors as well as smokescreen capabilities that were used in test exercises over the weekend.
The bridge, which was built between 2016 and 2018 and includes both automotive and rail lanes, is incredibly important to Russia. Its connection between mainland Russia and Crimea, which it seized from Ukraine in 2014, is both symbolic and strategic. The recent developments appear to be preparations to protect the bridge from a standoff missile attack, and while countermeasures are evidently being deployed and tested, it is unclear if they will be withdrawn or remain a static fixture going forward.
