Katie Fey: Church built a Massive Baby Jesus Statue that Looks Exactly like Phil Collins

Astory from 2019 is making the Internet rounds again, and it’s just as insane the second time around.

A Mexican church “accidentally” — their words, not ours — built the largest baby Jesus statue in the world, and it just so happens to look strikingly like British pop singer Phil Collins.

The statue stands nearly 22 feet tall and weighs roughly 2,000 pounds. Its wavy brown hair and big blue eyes make it more of a dead ringer for the Genesis frontman — and less like the Middle Eastern frontman of the Christian faith.

It currently holds the Guiness World Record for “Largest Baby Jesus Statue.” But don’t call it the Largest Jesus Statue. That title belongs to “Christ the King,” a 120-feet-tall Polish statue that looks nothing like Phil Collins.
