Comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan joked about the quality of Amber Heard’s lawyers amid her ongoing legal battle with her former husband, Johnny Depp.

Depp, 58, is suing Heard, 36, in a Virginia court for defamation following an op-ed that she wrote in the Washington Post in 2018 in which the actress spoke about being a victim of domestic abuse. Heard did not mention Depp by name in the piece.
The ‘Sweeney Todd’ star is suing Heard for $50 million while she is countersuing for $100 million.
Rogan and Fridman were joking about the performance on the stand of Heard’s team’s expert witness, psychiatrist Dr. David Spiegel.
Rogan joked: ‘I hope that Johnny Depp plays him in a movie. Somebody wrote in the comments that he feels like — a patient who escaped from an insane asylum and is pretending to be a psychiatrist.’
He said: ‘That’s probably all she could afford. Her fucking lawyers are terrible. She probably found ’em on Craigslist.’
Rogan continued: ‘They don’t make any sense. Their questions are terrible. They’re so ill prepared. But also — what are they dealing with? Like what are they dealing with? They’re dealing with someone who’s a clear sociopath, a clear liar.’

Dr. Spiegel told the court during his appearance on the stand that Depp: ‘has behaviors that are consistent with someone that both has substance-use disorder as well as behaviors of someone who is a perpetrator of intimate-partner violence.’
In cross examination, Depp’s lawyers asked how the shrink could come to that conclusion without having spent any time with the actor.
The doctor responded by saying that psychiatrists offer opinions all the time on patients that they haven’t met.
Following his appearance on the stand, Dr. Spiegel’s WebMD page was flooded with negative reviews, reports NBC News.
