Fox News commentators Tucker Carlson and Jesse Watters hit back against woke documentary filmmaker Ken Burns for his tone deaf comparison between sending migrants to Martha’s Vineyard and the Holocaust.

Burns, who was making the talk show rounds to tout his three-part series exploring the U.S. action and inaction during the Nazi atrocities during World War II, couldn’t help but see the correlation between the genocide and a political maneuver by Governor Ron DeSantis.

The Florida Republican made headlines on Thursday morning after sending a plane of migrants to the tony vacation spot off Cape Cod, Massachusetts, a regular vacation spot of the Kennedys.

On CNN on Thursday, host John Berman asked Burns to draw parallels between Nazi death camps and the preppy vacation island.

‘Everything is relative,’ he said, tongue firmly in cheek, ‘Martha’s Vineyard may be a modern day death camp, but compared to where illegal aliens usually go, it doesn’t look that bad.’

Carlson took the next few minutes – ‘just for fun’ – to compare images of border towns with the leafy preppy island.

‘On your screen you will see images shot recently in America’s border towns – which are completely overrun under Joe Biden’s immigration policy – you will notice, if you look carefully, chaos, violence and filth,’ the Fox host said.

Next he flashed an image of a seaside deck in Martha’s Vineyard, with green hills and sweeping views of the horizon.

‘Now we will take you to Martha’s Vineyard. It’s hellish, perhaps, but in a very different way. Families eating together on balconies overlooking the water, women doing their shopping in quaint little towns on their bicycles, couples strolling on the boardwalk. Sailboats. It doesn’t look that bad.’

Carlson skewered CBS News next for its complaint that ‘Martha’s Vineyard is not an urban, metropolitan area with robust social services infrastructure…There’s no Justice Department immigration court where immigrants can attend asylum hearings.’

But the host agreed. And that’s the point, he said.

‘That’s kinda the whole idea. That’s why DeSantis sent the illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard. People who make and advocate for certain policies should, at some point, have to live with those policies, but until now they haven’t had to.’

Watters could barely contain his contempt for Burns’ hyperbole.

‘Yeah. 50 migrants arriving on a gorgeous island off the coast of New England is exactly like Hitler slaughtering 6 million Jews,’ he said, facetiously.

‘I think liberals think hot dusty streets of El Paso, Texas are much better suited for Hispanics. They wouldn’t fit in around the Kennedy compound. It’s ironic because the real human rights abuses on the island happened at Cappaquiddick, he said, referring to late Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy’s deadly car accident, that killed Mary Jo Kopechne, a young campaign worker.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott also made the news when he sent two busloads of migrants from Texas to the home of Vice President Kamala Harris.
