New York City Mayor Eric Adams said the recent city public service announcement for how to deal with a nuclear attack as the Big Apple is a big target should WW3 takes place.

‘The Office of Emergency Management took a very proactive step to say ‘let’s be prepared,’ the mayor said. ‘Pack a bag. Know where your medicines are located. These are just smart things to do. And many of us, we think about COVID and other things that have been on the forefront, but we’re still one of the top terrorist threats.’

The emergency management agency put out a 90-second PSA weeks after Russian state media claimed Russian President Vladimir Putin could wipe out the United States.

In the new clip released Monday, the city’s Office of Emergency Management tells New Yorkers: ‘So there’s been a nuclear attack. Don’t ask me how or why. Just know that the big one has hit. OK. So what do we do?’

A city spokesperson tells citizens: ‘While the likelihood of a nuclear weapon incident occurring in/near New York City is very low, it is important New Yorkers know the steps to stay safe.’

The three safety tips offered are: ‘Get inside, stay inside, stay tuned’

In May 2022, Russian state media issued a chilling new nuclear threat to the US, boasting that Putin could wipe out the entire East and West Coasts with just four missiles.

Alexei Zhuravlev, a member of Putin’s puppet parliament, issued the threat, saying ‘there will be nothing left’ on either coast after strikes using Russia’s new Sarmat 2 nuke, and that the mushroom cloud will be ‘visible from Mexico.’

Zhuravlev then pivoted to threaten 2 million Ukrainians with annihilation, describing them as ‘incurable’ Nazis who will never be convinced to support Russia’s war.

Zhuravlev was speaking Monday to Russian MP Yevgeny Popov, who’s also a talk show host on the main Rossiya 1 channel, when he went on a nuclear rant.

Responding to a CBS News piece from late April in which hosts discussed what a nuclear strike on New York would look like, Zhuravlev accused them of ‘calculating incorrectly.’

In the piece, reporter Tony Dokoupil had simulated an attack with a bomb the size of the one dropped on Hiroshima in 1945 – and discussed a mushroom cloud that would dwarf the Empire State building and destroy much of Manhattan.

‘Guys, you’re so funny. What methods are they even using?’ Zhuravlev asked.

‘I will competently tell you, that to destroy the entire East Coast of the US, two Sarmat missiles are necessary and two missiles for the West Coast.

‘Four missiles, and there will be nothing left. They think the mushroom cloud will be taller than a high rise. That mushroom cloud will be visible from Mexico.’

He continued: ‘Don’t delude yourselves. What should be said is that there’ll be nothing left, no-one harbors any illusions about it, that everyone will be fine in case of nuclear war.

‘No-one will be fine, but calculate it correctly.’
