Chinese New Year – Rooster springs into action with lotta Chicks

Today is Chinese New Year or more commonly known as the Spring Festival in modern Mainland China. It is the Chinese festival celebrated at the turn of the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar.
This year happens to be the Year of the Rooster (or Chicken – there is no gender difference in the Chinese character for this bird family. Rooster is made up of two characters “Male-Chicken” in Chinese).
