There’s a common myth that if you want to know the size of a man’s private parts, then his hands and feet are usually a good guide. But how true is it? Research and experts have now indicated that the shoe size and hand size of men isn’t really a true indicator of them having a large or small penis, and actually, we should be looking elsewhere on the body if we want to get a sneaky clue.

Our eyes should be looking at a man’s face and specifically, one part if we want to get an idea of the size of what’s in his pants. One facial part, in particular, can be the clue to well-endowed or smaller than average, and it all comes down to the size of a man’s nose.

Dr Rena Malik, a urologist and reconstructive surgeon in California, told the Diary of a CEO Podcast that a man’s nose is a better indicator of size down below than hands or feet. Speaking to Steven Bartlett, she highlighted a study from Japan of 126 male corpses that measured “all these body parts and penile, and they found was that nose length was correlated with penile length, not hand length or foot.”

The data highlighted that men with noses smaller than 1.8 inches had a penis size of up to 4.1 inches. Yet for men with a nose that was over 2.2 inches long, their penises were larger, measuring 5.3 inches long. The difference with longer noses was 29 percent bigger than their smaller nose counterparts.

Yet for those classed in the average category, meaning their noses were in the middle of the 1.8 inches and 2.2 inches range, they had ‘average’ size penises to match. The data found that for these men the average penis size was 4.5 inches, which is the average size of an erect penis in Japan according to the research.

Another South Korean study found similar, which reviewed 1,160 men in their thirties and measured their nose size compared to their non-erect penis. The study, published in the journal Translational Andrology and Urology, found that while men with bigger feet had a wider penis circumference, their manhood tended to be bigger if they had larger noses.

Researcher Dr Sungwoo Hong, who worked on the study, said: “Nose size is an important indicator of penile size. Several studies have suggested hormone exposure in the prenatal period affects the growth of reproductive organs.”

Yet for many men it might all be about what they think their penis size is rather than what the actual ruler measurements are, as Dr Malik explained that most people think penises should be bigger than they actually are. She noted that while the average is about 5.1 to 5.3 inches while erect, most men think it should be closer to six inches.
