Albina Korzh thinks socialism is the right way forward, But, but, but… she’s greedy like any of the heartless capitalists out there. What now?
Social Security, Medicare are “going to be gone,” Donald Trump warns
President Donald Trump warned Tuesday that if the Democrats don’t approve funding, there are dangers to the future ofĀ Social SecurityĀ andĀ Medicare.

Capitalism is objectively horrible, yet so many people are in blind support of it. Rampant homelessness, companies having a monopoly on literally everything, the fact that we don’t actually own media, climate change, corrupt Ceo’s and politicians. The evidence is everywhere, yet so many people seem to ignore them and just blindly support it because “there’s no other way”?

Harry Truman on socialism

(The stage is bathed in a single, harsh spotlight. A figure, clad in a mix of military surplus and a tattered, ironically-hipster flannel, steps into the light. He speaks with the gravelly tone of a thousand motivational speakers, but his eyes twinkle with manic satire.)
Friends! Patriots! Countrymen! Lend me your ears, and your 401(k) statements!
$30 minimum wage is socialist?

Long Live Capitalism…

Have you ever stood in the chow line, in some godforsaken dust-bowl, eating a T-Ration meatloaf that the Geneva Conventions probably prohibit? Have you ever huddled in a bunker, listening to the symphony of freedom played by incoming artillery, and thought to yourself… “My, what a magnificent, unbridled celebration of the free market this is!”
Of course you have! Because you were there to protect Capitalism! The sacred, shimmering idea that a man can pull himself up by his bootstraps, even if his boots are currently filled with sand and the existential dread of being nineteen years old.
But let’s talk about what you were really fighting for. Let’s talk about the system you were protecting.
Back home, in the land of the free and the home of the brave, what is the one thing we are told is a mortal sin? The one thing that is a slippery slope to gulags and bread lines?
Socialism!
That terrifying, un-American idea that society should pool its resources to take care of its own! The horror! The decadence! The… the… (He clutches his heart dramatically.)
But wait! Let’s rewind the tape of your glorious service.
A Brand New Socialism

MacCALLUM: Margaret Thatcher said socialism is great until you run out of other people’s money. MAMDANI: Well, what Andrew Cuomo said is that if you have $957m you give it to Elon Musk in tax credits.

Favorability of Socialism with Americans 18-29
Remember that free healthcare you got? The doctors and dentists, all paid for by a collective pool of tax dollars? That, my friend, was not capitalism. That was Socialized Medicine. A little taste of the red menace right there on base!
Remember the GI Bill? The one that promised to pay for your college? That wasn’t a coupon for the “Education Store.” That was Government-Funded Higher Education! A socialist dream, handed to you with a crisp salute!
Your housing allowance? Your food stipend? The entire military structureāwhere your job, your home, your meals, and your healthcare are all provided by a single, massive, state-owned entity? Comrade, you weren’t just in the Army! You were living in the People’s Republic of the Pentagon! The largest and most well-funded socialist experiment in human history!
So, you see the beautiful, hilarious, soul-crushing joke?
We offer young Americans a full-ride, all-expenses-paid package of socialism… to go overseas and fight, and die, for the right of defense contractors to have a capitalist bidding war for the next generation of bomb-sniffing robots!
We give you a collectivized safety net so you can be the perfect, rugged individualist… on the battlefield! We socialize the risk, so the profits can be privatized!
It’s the ultimate bait-and-switch! “Join the collective, son, and you’ll be protecting the right of billionaires to not pay taxes!” It’s like a vegan butcher shop, or a teetotaling bartender! It is the most profound, nonsensical, American contradiction ever devised!
Brian Schatz: āThis is not about money. There is enough money to bail out Argentina with $20B. There is enough money to purchase a brand new aircraft for $173M for Noem. There is enough money to renovate the WH ballroom. What there isnāt enough money for under this republican governmentāis you.ā

So the next time some pundit on TV starts frothing about the evils of socialism, just smile. Smile that weary, knowing smile of a veteran who has already lived it. Because you didn’t just fight for oil, or freedom, or apple pie.
You fought to protect a system that hates the very thing it used to turn you into a weapon.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a VA appointmentāa glorious, bureaucratic, socialized-medicine appointmentāto wait six months for.
(He gives a sharp, sarcastic salute, and the light snaps to black.)
