The WWE Divaâs Division may not be the most talked about division in professional wrestling, but there have been many ladies who have had an incredibly successful career from it.
Initially, the WWE Womenâs division was about in-ring ability but it slowly turned into being about looks and personality. From there, female wrestlers turned into âdivas.â The WWE have benefited from their divas division and not only has it inspired many young woman around the world, but many men have also been quite enthused by it.
The emergence of the television show Total Divas has really began to make the divas division important again because it has allowed fans to look into the lives of the divas on a personal basis. In the past, the Divas Division benefited from lingerie matches and as little clothing as possible, but with the WWE now in the PG/Reality Era, they needed new ways to reach their fans.
Total Divas has changed the state of the division and has been able to spark a viewership that wasnât once there. Starting with only a few divas on the roster, the expansion of the divas that are appearing on the show has only made the division more relevant and their storylines are getting more headway.
Although some male viewers may be upset that âbra and pantiesâ matches are in the past, the wrestling part is now more of a focus. So with that change in focus, weâre going to look at the top 25 WWE Divas of all-time. When we say Divas, we want to make it clear that weâre going to be look at every female competitor to have ever stepped into a WWE ring.
25. STACY KEIBLER
Known for having the longest legs in wrestling, the Rosedale, Maryland nativeâs career didnât initially start in wrestling. Keibler began her career in entertainment as a Baltimore Ravens cheerleader before becoming a WCW Nitro Girl in 1999. Keibler used her good looks to stay relevant and win over fans in the WWE. Keibler changed the history of female wrestling by facing Torrie Wilson in the very first lingerie match and was a pretty good competitor in the ring.
24. BULL NAKANO
Bull Nakano was one of the more unique WWE Divas in history. With most Divas being beautiful and smaller wrestlers, Nakano changed the idea of womenâs wrestling by being a powerful beast in the ring. Initially starting her professional wrestling career in Japan, Bull Nakano made her way to the United States where she would begin a feud with Alundra Blayze. Nakano would eventually take the title away from Blayze in 1994 and held the title for roughly five months. Nakanoâs career in the WWE came to an ultimate end when she was found in possession of an illegal substance and was immediately fired from the company.
23. VICKIE GUERRERO
âExcuse me!â With one of the most annoying catchphrases of all-time, Vickie Guerrero was one of the best heel WWE Divas in history and translated that into a long career with the WWE. Hailing from El Paso, Texas, her first storylines was with her late husband Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio. Although she was always linked to her husband Eddie, Guerreroâs career was able to continue after his death, and sheâs best known for her managerial roles as the GM of SmackDown and Raw.
22. NATALYA
A third-generation wrestler in the Hart family, Natayla is one of the best technical wrestlers in the business right now. As a one-time WWE Divas champion, Natayla is admired for her ability and is somewhat of a mentor in the division. Breaking into the WWE as a villain under the name Natalya Neidhart, the Calgary, Alberta native quickly turned face. Natalya continues to be a regular star on the television show Total Divas, which has helped her career become more mainstream.
21. JACQUELINE MOORE
An multiple time USWA Womenâs Champion, Jacqueline Moore had a lot of success before she ever entered the WWE. She entered the WWE by feuding with Sable based on her managerial role with Marc Mero. From there, Jacqueline and Sable initiated the reinstatement of the WWE Womenâs Championship, which had not been seen in years. Jacqueline was able to fend off Sable to win the title initially before Sable reclaimed the title two months later. Before her retirement, Jacqueline was able to win the Womenâs Championship one more time. However, her biggest feat came in 2004 when she defeated Chavo Guerrero for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship to become the third ever woman to win the title.
20. MICHELLE MCCOOL
Although Michelle McCool would lose to Christy Hemme in the 2004 WWE Divas Search, but she would get the last laugh by signing a deal with the WWE. McCoolâs career was quite impressive, as she was named the 2010 Diva of the Year at the Slammy Awards. Not only that, but she is a two-time WWE Divas Champion and a two-time WWE Womenâs Champion. In 2010, McCool became the first Unified WWE Divas Champion when she won both titles at Night of Champions. Not only was McCool a great wrestler, but she is also famous for being married to The Undertaker.
19. SABLE
One of the most revealing WWE Divas of all-time, Sable was never one to be shy in front of the camera. Making her debut at WrestleMania XII escorting Triple H, she wouldnât last long with him, as she would eventually manage her then-husband, Marc Mero. With the newly reinstated WWE Womenâs Championship belt up for grabs, Sable was able to defeat Jacqueline for the title to claim her first championship. After a brief hiatus from the WWE, Sable returned as Vince McMahonâs mistress and had a feud with Stephanie McMahon. After appearing in Playboy with diva Torrie Wilson, Sable would leave the WWE to spend more time with her family in 2004. Sheâs currently married to the One in 21-1, Brock Lesnar.
18. STEPHANIE MCMAHON
Better known for being the daughter of the Chairman of the WWE, Stephanie McMahon has made quite the impact on her own in the WWE. Her first storyline of being abducted by The Undertaker began her on-screen performances and she never looked back. Although sheâs not considered a continuous in-ring performer, she continues to be the most powerful women in professional wrestling. Her most recent match came at SummerSlam 2014, when she defeated Brie Bella with a pedigree to win her first match in over 10 years.
17. KELLY KELLY
One of the most beautiful WWE Divas to ever step foot in the squared circle, Kelly Kelly also won the WWE Divas championship once. Debuting in ECW in 2006 at only 19-years-old, Kelly Kelly is one of the youngest performers in WWE history. Starting as a model like many WWE Divas, Kelly Kelly was invited for a try-out and quickly debuted with ECW. Kelly Kelly had a strong seven-year career in professional wrestling but recently has become more focused on her modeling career.
16. MELINA PEREZ – Already featured in Fappening 2.0
A three-time WWE Womenâs Champion, Perez had a strong run in the WWE from 2004-2011. The beautiful Perez not only was a great in-ring performer herself, but she helped manage MNM to three tag-team championships. Winning the WWE Womenâs Championship three times and the WWE Divaâs Championship two times, Perez was an overall five-time champion. The Los Angeles, California native was eventually released from the WWE in 2011 after her heel turn wasnât a success.
15. MARYSE
Despite being eliminated in the 2006 WWE Divas search, Maryse was still able to sign a deal with the WWE and was initially assigned to Ohio State Valley Wrestling. The Montreal, Quebec native made an immediate impact on the WWE when she made her debut in 2008. After only being in the WWE for a few months, Maryse was able to capture the WWE Divas Championship and held onto it for seven months. Maryse was able to capture the WWE Divas Championship for a second time and currently holds the second longest WWE Divas Championship reign in history having held the title for 265 days.
14. MICKIE JAMES
Appearing in the WWE in 2005, James was initially placed in a storyline with Trish Stratus that portrayed James as Stratusâ biggest stalker. Getting an early push with the WWE, James was able to win her first WWE Divas Championship at WrestleMania 22. A six-time Womenâs Champion, James made a big impact with the WWE but was eventually released in 2010. The 35-year-old has been rumored to be returning to the WWE, but itâs unsure if she will actually step in the squared circle anytime soon.
13. ALUNDRA BLAYZE
In one of the most controversial moves in WWE/WCW history, Alundra Blayze did something unthinkable by throwing the WWE Womenâs Championship in the garbage during a live WCW broadcast. After a successful run with the WWE to earn the WWE Womenâs Championship, interest from the WCW made Blayze jump ship to the competitor and she would even go onto the win the WCW Cruiserweight Championship. Although she was a great in-ring wrestler and brought over new moves from Japan, she will always be remembered for that moment on December 18th, that shocked the world.
12. MISS ELIZABETH
As one of the most gorgeous WWE Divas of all-time, Miss Elizabeth initially appeared in the WWE as the manager for Macho Man Randy Savage. Although Miss Elizabeth was never a singles wrestler, she still defined the modern day symbol of a WWE Diva because of her beauty and her impact in the ring. Miss Elizabeth is one of the best managers of all-time and was an influential woman in professional wrestling, but unfortunately her life was cut short in 2003 when she overdosed on pain killers and alcohol.
11. AJ LEE
There is no better WWE Diva than AJ Lee right now. Although her character may be one of the crazier gimmicks thatâs been portrayed by a Diva, Lee has been on top of the WWE Divas division for the past few years. AJ Leeâs career really began to blossom when she won her first WWE Divas championship in 2013 and surpassed Maryseâs record for the longest reign in WWE Divas championship history. Lee is also famous for being married to former WWE Superstar, CM Punk.
10. BETH PHOENIX
Unlike most WWE Divas. who have no prior wrestling experience and are only in the business because they are models, Beth Phoenix was actually a successful amateur wrestler in high school. As a legitimate wrestler, Phoenix had a great advantage over the other divas because she was able to participate in matches that others might not have been able to. Phoenix became the second women to ever participate in the Royal Rumble when she participated in 2010. Her success continued when she won the Womenâs Championship for the third time later that April.
9. WENDI RICHTER
Although her wrestling career was short, she did something no other WWE Diva could do, she broke the Fabulous Moolahâs 28-year-run with the WWE Womenâs Championship. Richterâs career within professional wrestling was much shorter than planned because of the âoriginal screwjobâ. At a house show at Madison Square Garden, Richter was pinned by the mysterious Spider Lady, which was not supposed to happen. Richter immediately left professional wrestling after this âscrewjobâ and was unseen until she was inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame in 2010.
8. âSENSATIONALâ SHERRI MARTEL
Defeating the Fabulous Moolah in her debut for the Womenâs Championship, the âSensationalâ Sherri Martel really lived up to her nickname during her first career match. Holding the title for 15 months, Martel holds one of the longest reigns in history. Her wrestling career was cut short because the WWE decided to get rid of the womenâs division in the middle of her career, but fortunately she was still able to stay relevant as a manager. As a one-time WWE Womenâs Champion, Martel was honored in 2006 by being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
7. MAE YOUNG
Inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008, Mae Youngâs popularity increased with age, as even in her later years, she was being incorporated into main storylines. Making her debut in 1939 and having her last match in 2010, Youngâs career definitely had the most longevity of any WWE Diva in history. Youngâs most ridiculous storyline came in 2000 when it was announced that she was pregnant with Mark Henryâs child, but the âchildâ was eventually delivered to only be discovered as a rubber hand.
6. TORRIE WILSON
With incredible looks and a bubbly personality, Torrie Wilson was the ultimate WWE Diva and was adored by everyone. Becoming mainstream for her cover appearance with Playboy and FHM, Wilson is one of the most popular WWE Divas to ever live. Becoming a âBra and Pantiesâ extraordinaire, Wilson was known to have her clothes ripped off to entertain the fans. Although she never won a championship, she is still more popular than many that have won gold.
5. SUNNY
Sunny is very important to the current state of the WWE Divas division, as she is known as the first âdivaâ. She may have only been an occasional wrestler, but she quickly became the star of the show when she managed The Bodydonnas. After becoming popular with the fans, Sunny was used whenever anyone needed a new manager because her great looks and personality could boost any wrestler. With only four years of relevancy, Sunny was still inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.
4. THE FABULOUS MOOLAH
The most prominent womenâs champion in history, The Fabulous Moolah made her debut in 1949 and was a five-time Womenâs Champion with National Wrestling Alliance before joining the WWE. Appearing in the WWE as the first womenâs champion, her title reign lasted 28 years (according to WWE) before losing it to Wendi Richter. The WWE Hall of Fame Inductee of 1995 was a four-time champion of the WWF Womenâs Championship, but her biggest accomplishment came when she became the oldest champion, winning the WWE Womenâs Championship at the age of 76-years-old. In 2010, Moolah was even recognized as the 27th best wrestler of all-time by the WWE.
3. CHYNA
Although Chynaâs career has taken a different turn post-WWE, she is still one of the best WWE Divas of all-time. The former bodybuilder revolutionized the WWE Divas persona because she turned strength and sexiness into a vicious combo. Making her debut as a bodyguard, her role changed, as she became the first ever women to enter the Royal Rumble match, eventually getting eliminated by Steve Austin. Unlike most WWE Divas, Chyna was more prone to fighting men than women, and the biggest highlight of her career was winning the Intercontinental Championship.
2. LITA
She may not go down as the best WWE Diva of all-time, but in terms of Hardcore wrestling, she was the most awesome female wrestler ever. Lita was involved in many storylines with the Hardy Boyz and Edge, but most important were her feuds with Trish Stratus. The two of them had some of the best wrestling matches of the 2000s and not just within the womenâs division. Lita won the WWE Womenâs Championship four times and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014. Although she was involved with a few weird storylines, such as her story with Kane and Snitzky, her wrestling style and ability were unmatched.
1. TRISH STRATUS
The most decorated WWE Diva of all-time, Trish Stratus had it all and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013. She had the looks, but more importantly, she had incredible ability in the ring. The Canadian superstar hailing from Toronto, Ontario rose up the ranks of the WWE Divas division and was proclaimed the âDiva of the Decade.â Although her WWE career was only six years long, she was able to win seven WWE Womenâs Championships, as well as the hearts of wrestling fans everywhere.
