‘Sick man’ admits having sex with pony: deputies

A Florida man has admitted having sex with a male pony, telling investigators that he’s a “sick man,” deputies said.

Nicholas Anthony Sardo, 21, of Citra, was arrested for having intercourse with a small horse named Jackie G. after a witness reported to deputies that she saw Sardo attacking the animal in a pasture on a relative’s property on Oct. 13, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.
Another woman then told authorities she saw Sardo having sex with the animal and approached him to discuss what she witnessed. Sardo then immediately admitted having sex with the pony — a confession he later made to a detective as well, deputies said.
Sardo later revealed to investigators that he had sex with the horse “four times during the course of a week,” wearing a condom each time to prevent contracting any sexually transmitted diseases from the animal, deputies said.

Sardo also told a detective that he knew what he did was wrong and admitted he was a “sick man,” deputies said.
Sardo, who was charged with four counts of bestiality/sexual contact with an animal, was booked into the Marion County Jail.
The small horse, meanwhile, belongs to one of Sardo’s relatives and remains in their care. Conditions of Sardo’s contact with the animal in the future — if any — could be determined by a judge, deputies said.
