CEO of Wall Streetâs most prestigious investment bank, David Solomon, was accused of bragging about receiving oral sex in the internal complaint made to the bank
A former Goldman Sachs managing director has slammed the prestigious firm for allegedly making a $12million âhush moneyâ payment to another woman who complained about the âtoxic workplaceâ.
Jamie Fiore Higgins, 46, was one of just eight percent of employees to earn the title and wrote a memoir of her time at the company â branding it a âsexist and pervertedâ place to work.
After leaving the company she wrote âBully Market: My Story of Money and Misogyny at Goldman Sachsâ and has now slammed the bank for how they handled yet another claim of sexism.
The bank allegedly paid out more than $12million to a veteran female executive who lodged an internal complaint about a toxic workplace for women within the highest offices.
Is Goldman Sachs Really The World’s “Most Evil” Investment Bank?

CEO of Wall Streetâs legendary investment bank, David Solomon, was accused of bragging about receiving oral sex in the internal complaint, according to Bloomberg.
The former company partner reached the settlement for her internal complaint two years ago, and has allegedly been fighting to keep the details of the settlement secret.
She claimed that senior executives at Goldman Sachs made vulgar and dismissing comments about women and the bank fostered a sexist culture, with at least three executives hearing Solomonâs alleged remark at the time.
Speaking to media Higgins said: âI donât begrudge this woman for doing what she’s done, good for her. But what bothers me is that once again a check is cashed.
âI am not saying she doesnât deserve it, but does it impact women going forwards?
‘She cannot come forwards, details of exactly what happened cannot be discussed and so on. They are not learning from what is happening.
‘These claims are from 2018 and 2019 â years after what I went through and detailed in my book â so this is clearly still going on.
âIt is a disappointment to see this when they have just announced that they have promoted a large class of women to partner. This woman was a partner and look what happened to her.â
Solomon’s alleged boast about oral sex occurred shortly after he took over the firm in 2018, with the claims making up part of the complaint.
Sources claim that it stood out because it was considered so out of character for Solomon, 60, to make that kind of comment. The bank has denied the accusation.
None of the executives who heard about the alleged boast were aware that it had been cited in the complaint.

However, his alleged comment was not the main focus of the complaint, which claimed that women were paid less than men for doing the same jobs.
Higgins, whose book is No 1 in the Finance section of Amazon, said she was not surprised to hear about the allegations made against the bank.
During her time at the company she suffered at the hands of her male colleagues, claiming when she had her fourth child they would âmooâ at her when she went to breastfeed.
Her memoir claims that the Manhattan headquarters of the bank was rife with misogyny â adding that she was violently pinned to a wall by a male college who âwrapped his hand around her jawâ and threatened her while she was suspended mid-air.
The mother-of-four considered taking legal action at the time, but was told âyou can never beat Goldman Sachsâ by an attorney.
Higgins added: âShe has now been paid for enduring what she had to endure, quite clearly the firm feels that there was some wrongdoing done to her, then we will continue to have these agreements and quiet settlements.
âBut does that motivate the firm to really change for the next generation of women? They need to have a far better internal reflection.
âWhy canât women have their day in court and get a settlement and the environment improves for the better.
âIt may very well be true that there was an inappropriate comment (by Solomon), but at the end of the day it may be true that some women have a great experience with him he is responsible for everyoneâs experience. So what is he doing to tackle that?â
The internal complaint by the anonymous executive also claims that the company tolerated crude and vulgar remarks from senior officials, with Goldman agreeing to pay her âwell overâ $12million.
The alleged secret settlement, which was handed over two years ago, is likely the largest pay out of its kind to date.
Goldman Sachs was reportedly eager to settle due to the bank’s efforts to improve diversity amongst senior ranks, according to Bloomberg.
Most of the alleged incidents described took place in 2018 and 2019, shortly after Solomon took over the reins.
The lawsuit also states that other top managers, including the former head of investment research Steven Strongin, made dismissive marks about women.
In 2019, the bank stated that it wanted half of the analysts and entry-level associates hire to be women and said that 29 percent of its partner class are female.
Kathy Ruemmler, General Counsel at Goldman said: âBloombergâs reporting contains factual errors, and we dispute this story.
âAnyone who works with David knows his respect for women, and his long record of creating an inclusive and supportive environment for women.â
The company refused to comment further when pressed on what they were disputing by the media.

In a 2018 gender pay gap report, Goldman Sachs international business found that three percent of the group earning the highest hourly pay were men, the bank said, while 62.4 percent of those on the lowest hourly pay were women.
The partner, whose identity has been kept anonymous, chose not to go public with her allegations, and left the firm to work for another company.
It comes after unsealed legal documents released in September showed that scores of women who worked at the company described how they were subjected to discrimination, sexual harassment and sexual assault at the hands of male managers.
A class-action lawsuit filed against the bank includes 1,400 plaintiffs who alleged lewd and criminal behavior by senior bankers at the firm, Bloomberg reports.
There are at least 75 alleged instances of sexual misconduct by male managers as well as seven criminal complaints of rape, attempted rape and sexual assault.
The class-action lawsuit released in September is not linked to the internal complaint uncovered by Bloomberg.

For this film was one of the early indications of the Satanic nihilistic degeneracy that would soon sweep the heathen Western world⊠And while many thought that the dark depravity of the 1990âs was just an aberration at the time, we now know that it was just a glimpse of the horrors that were to come.
