Here’s how the case unfolded:
It started with a tip involving a larger investigation
Investigators in Florida were looking into several day spas when they learned the Orchids of Asia Day Spa might also be involved in prostitution or human trafficking. No human trafficking charges were ever filed.
In October, Florida day spa in Jupiter would start to receive the scrutiny of police. For four months, police kept a close watch.
Officers staked out the business. Trash was pulled from dumpsters. A detective searched online and linked the spa to reference to “rub and tugs”, which authorities know to mean sex acts.

Sneak and peek’ warrant allows for hidden cameras inside the spa
On Jan. 15, a detective filed an affidavit for a “sneak and peek” warrant inside the spa. The warrant, signed off by a judge, allowed for police to secretly hide video cameras inside the massage rooms and lobby.
The warrant says the case involves human trafficking.
Three days later, police orchestrated a phony “suspicious package” call in the area in order for authorities to get inside the spa and hide the cameras, records said.
The cameras remained inside the spa and were viewed by investigators for five days. Investigators said the cameras captured women working at the spa performing sex acts on men for money.
Authorities say Kraft is one of several men caught on camera
The first visit by Kraft was on Jan. 19, police said. He was inside for 39 minutes. During the visit, authorities said Kraft paid two women for sex acts.
Kraft is accused of returning to the spa the following day, Jan. 20, and paying for a sex act inside the spa. The New England Patriots owner then went to Kansas City and watched his team win the AFC Championship game.
The spa charged between $59 and $79 for sexual acts. During the Jan. 20 visit, police said Kraft gave a woman a $100 bill and at one other unidentifiable bill.
Authorities charged Kraft with two counts of solicitation of prostitution. He pleaded not guilty.
