Jim Cramer, host of Mad Money on CNBC called for a sharp price increase on Ethereum. The host asked for 40%, but that caused nothing but caution in the cryptocurrency community due to its string of losses, especially after its Netflix call, after which it fell 71%.

In the latest episode “Girl Talk Stocks,” the Mad Money host called for a 35% increase in Ethereum in the future and told his viewers he was a “believer.” But despite such a bullish view of the cryptocurrency market and Ethereum in particular, the community was enthusiastic about Cramer’s prediction.

The reason for such negative sentiment around the call has to do with Cramer’s “magical” ability to call stocks just before they lose up to 70% of their value. Some in the cryptocurrency community have even called his calls “Cramer’s curse.”

Cramer’s call was the last thing Ethereum needed

According to the Ethereum daily chart provided by TradingView, the coin is struggling to recover and has merged around local support for the past four days, showing that there is not enough buying power to push. ETH higher.
