Miley Cyrus’ frequent collaborator Wayne Coyne alleges the singer has taken “plenty” of acid.
The Flaming Lips star exchanged numbers with Miley in 2014 after she declared she was a big fan on Twitter and they have since worked together on records such as the band’s 2014 cover album With A Little Help From My Fwends and her 2015 release Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz.
The singer has been open about taking drugs marijuana and MDMA, even singing about “molly” on her track We Can’t Stop, but she told Paper magazine in 2015 she had “never tried any psychedelics.”
However, Wayne has claimed in a new interview with the Guardian that she knows a lot about acid, or LSD, which is why she could tell rapper A$AP Rocky had never taken it when he bragged about it to them at a dinner.
“He’d just got a new set of gold teeth, braces things, and he was talking about taking acid,” Wayne said. “In between, Miley was whispering: ‘He’s never really taken acid. He’s just saying that because he wants to write music about taking acid.’ He would keep talking and she would go: ‘He doesn’t know anything about acid.’ She’d know. Cyrus has done acid plenty.”
