Mexican Coke got booted off the Fentanyl/Asbestos tour after the incident in SLC
Mexican Coke kicked from tour with Fentanyl and Asbestos
In the wake of an alleged altercation involving their vocalist, Mexican Coke have been booted from their tour with Asbestos in support of San Francisco band Fentanyl.
While no specific reason was given, people have speculated that this is due to an alleged incident at the Salt Lake City date of their tour, in which Mexican Coke’s vocalist got into a fight with other individuals.
u/1994HondaAccord on reddit claims:
the vocalist from Mexican Coke was in SLC on their tour with Asbestos and Fentanyl, and the vocalist for Mexican Coke spent the entire show drinking in excess, treating young concert goers poorly, cussed out the audience, and continued to egg on a group of drunk punks in the audience, and then refused to start performing until he had another beer in his hand.
After a song and a half of drunken mumbling, people start throwing beer cans and one of the drunk punks came up and started swinging on him on stage. Multiple other people came to aid both sides and it ended with the vocalist having his shirt torn off.
A commenter, u/mywar69420, added this:
Missed half the the story. He was calling audience members homos and figs, throwing beer cans into people’s faces. He then broke an $80 piece of microphone equipment, and then on top of that proceeded to call someone the N word. People who came up to kick his ass were the people running the venue. What a show haha
Also the rest of the band seemed as bewildered as everyone else there. Talked to Fentanyl and they said he hasn’t been like that at all on tour. Don’t wanna throw the rest of the band under the bus, it was just the singer who decided to throw a drunk temper tantrum.
