Brad Buck says the administrators at the high school heard the allegations about the relationship in February and were determined to be unfounded. Another investigation in May gave them the reason enough to ask Haglin to leave after the video leak in public in April. Buck said he did not learn of the earlier allegations until Haglin’s removal in May. Yet, Haglin believes that the school knew of the relationship she had with the teen, as it was the first time she and the teen were questioned about it by the administrators.
Despite the removal, no one in the district reported their suspicions to the police. Buck said that though he did report Haglin’s conduct to the state Board of Educational Examiners in a letter.
