Sean Duffy ‘Concerned’ About Whole US Airspace, Says FAA Buys Parts on eBay
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said on Sunday during an interview appearance on NBC News’ Meet the Press that he’s “concerned about the whole [United States] airspace,” citing old equipment being used by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), that at times needs to be purchased from the online marketplace, eBay.

The transportation secretary then clarified: “We are the safest airspace, for sure, and traveling by air is way safer than any other mode of transportation.”
Why It Matters
Duffy’s comments come amid mounting fears over flight safety, as several fatal crashes have recently made headlines and Newark Liberty International Airport has experienced two major telecommunications outages. Hundreds of flights were canceled and delayed at Newark over the past week, in part due to air traffic control staffing issues.
The FAA is facing a staffing shortage, with about 14,000 air traffic controllers on duty but an estimated need for 3,000 more, raising concerns that the shortfall could affect passenger safety.
President Donald Trump has blamed ongoing air traffic control problems on former President Joe Biden’s Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

What To Know
Duffy spoke with Meet the Press host Kristen Welker about the status of flight safety, the FAA, and staffing concerns.
Besides Newark, one of the nation’s busiest airports, Welker asked Duffy, “Are there other airports that you’re concerned about?”
“I’m concerned about the whole airspace. The equipment that we use, much of it we can’t buy parts for new, we have to go on eBay and buy parts if one part goes down. You’re dealing with really old equipment,” he said.
The transportation secretary called the outdated equipment “concerning.”
Duffy added that air travel remains safe, emphasizing that there are “multiple redundancies in place to keep you safe when you fly.”
Welker pressed the issue, asking: “Is it safe to fly in the United States right now?”
Duffy confirmed, “We are the safest airspace, for sure, and traveling by air is way safer than any other mode of transportation.” He, however, acknowledged that a major outage could be “a risk to life,” emphasizing the need to fix it.
His comments come after Newark Liberty International Airport has experienced disruptions since late April. Air traffic controllers at Philadelphia’s TRACON—which guides aircraft in and out of the New Jersey airport—reportedly lost contact for upwards of 30 seconds, according to Duffy. A 90-second outage was reported on Friday.

Since then, hundreds of delays and cancellations have occurred, which local and federal officials have attributed to aging equipment, a shortage of air traffic controllers, and the continued closure of one of Newark’s three runways.
On Thursday, Duffy unveiled a plan to “build a brand new, state-of-the-art air traffic control system that will be the envy of the world.”
The administration will look to add fiber, wireless and satellite systems to over 4,600 locations across the country. The White House set an ambitious deadline of 2028 to finish the overhaul, which the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee estimates could cost $12.5 billion to complete. Duffy has said it is likely to exceed that estimation.
The plan is to secure full funding from Congress upfront to enable the FAA to completely update the antiquated air traffic control system. The plan includes building six new control centers, major infrastructure upgrades, including replacing the old copper wiring used by communications systems with fiber, and installation of modern hardware and software.
What People Are Saying
President Trump said on speakerphone at Duffy’s May 8 briefing: “The ancient infrastructure is buckling under the weight of more than a billion flying passengers a year, and Pete Buttigieg, who was the Secretary of Transportation, had not clue what the problem was.”
Jennifer Homendy, chair of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), said: “I have to say that the secretary’s commitment to safety is real. He started saying that this is bold, but I have to tell you that this is absolutely necessary to ensure safety in our skies.”

Representative Mikie Sherrill, a New Jersey Democrat, wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Friday: “These radar blackouts at the Newark Airport are unacceptable and putting passengers at risk. The safety of passengers, pilots, and crews must be our number one priority. I am calling on the Trump administration to immediately send additional resources to the FAA to upgrade outdated infrastructure and technology.”
Senator Andy Kim, a New Jersey Democrat, wrote on X on Friday: “Just left the tower at Newark airport where I learned more about these concerning blackouts. I’m going to be continuing to work with the Department of Transportation to address telecommunication and staffing issues and make sure you have the safety and reliability you deserve.”

Mariane Saint Nude Sex Scenes From “Top 1”

It is certainly debatable to say that Mariane Saint is the “top 1” when it comes to Filipina actresses, but she is definitely in the discussion after showing off her range in these nude sex scenes by both bouncing on an Filipino dude pathetically tiny eggroll and getting her lotus flower licked by a lesbo in the ladies room.
Yes, not much else is required of actresses in the Philippines besides showing their tits and simulating sex with men, women, and tentacles… So we will withhold judgment on whether Mariane is the top 1 until her inevitable squid sex scenes come out.
