RFK Jr. dodges Jeffrey Epstein question by boasting of other famous sex offender friends

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. raised eyebrows this week when the Independent presidential candidate dodged a question about Jeffrey Epstein by name-dropping other acquaintances convicted of sex crimes.

Speaking on the Flagrant podcast Wednesday, Kennedy pointed out that Epstein, the billionaire financier and convicted sex offender found dead in a Manhattan jail cell, wasn’t the only person with a criminal history he knew.

“I’m in New York for most of my life. You run into everybody in New York,” Kennedy said. “I mean, I knew Harvey Weinstein. I knew Roger Ailes. I knew, O.J. Simpson came to my house. Bill Cosby came to my house.”

Weinstein, the notorious Hollywood producer, was twice convicted of rape, Cosby was convicted of sexual assault in a swiftly overturned ruling, Simpson stood trial for the death of his wife Nicole and was then convicted of robbery, and Ailes pleaded guilty to weapon possession and was accused by multiple women of sexual harassment.

“You don’t know these people are swamp creatures until all this stuff comes out,” Kennedy said.

A longer version of the interview shows Kennedy offering details on his encounters with Epstein, whom he said admitted involvement in financial crimes.

Kennedy’s comments sparked a swift response on social media.

“Quite a guest list!” CNN’s Jake Tapper wrote in a post to X.

“Kudos to RFK Jr for name dropping Epstein, Weinstein, OJ, Bill Cosby, and Roger Ailes in one sentence Where’s Ted Bundy?” wrote podcast host Dan Pfeiffer.

“This is the precise opposite of ‘workshopped answer.’ You could hardly do worse if you tried,” wrote The Atlantic’s Conor Friedersdorf.

“I hosted sexual predators in my house,” isn’t the flex you think it is,” wrote Democratic activist Joshua Reed Eakle.
