‘I swear she enjoys p*****g black people off’: Kendall Jenner is slammed after posing in ‘hurtful’
Kendall Jenner is no stranger to the world of scandals. She is a member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, and she’s the highest-paid supermodel on the planet, after all.
For example, she recently caused uproar after saying that she was “selective” about her work and would “never do 30 shows a season” unlike other models.
Vogue shoot that sees her modeling an AFRO
The latest scandal concerns a Vogue shoot that Kendall participated in to honour the 15th anniversary of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund sporting what some perceived as an afro wig – it didn’t take long before people in the comments began accusing Kendall and Vogue of promoting cultural appropriation.
The model and reality star can be seen in a couple of snaps wearing a hairstyle that strongly resembles an Afro, when her hair is naturally straight.
Swedish photographer Mikael Jansson shot the series, and Vogue shared one of Kendall’s photos on Instagram; many social media users bashed the publication and asked why it didn’t hire a model with a natural Afro.
This isn’t the first time someone from the Kardashian-Jenner family has faced accusations of cultural insensitivity
Kim Kardashian, 38, has been accused of cultural appropriation several times, including after wearing Fulani braids and calling them ‘Bo Derek braids’
