IMHO, Episode 2 of S2 is the best one so far in the series. Initially, I wasn’t into the series (everyone trying too hard to be liked and the banter reminded me too much of Rescue Me but without any of the bite) and actually thought it would be canned after one season. Only gripe and a sitcom trope: there had to be a dummy among the gang.

Nothing wrong with the cast (Jessica struggles to hide her Aussie accent). It’s just the writing is tad ordinary. Feels like a rehash of previous Denis Leary efforts. Serinda Swan auditioned for the role that eventually went to Jessica who impressed the USA execs as a guestie in White Collar. USA love their brunettes – promoting Serinda to Graceland.
