Every Documentary Exposing The Dark Secrets Of The Diddy Scandal
Disgraced musician Diddy is currently being held in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being charged with sexual assault, trafficking, and abuse. The arrest of Diddy not only sent shockwaves into the music industry but also sparked a media frenzy with the extensive coverage of all the shocking allegations against him. Given the increased palatability of true crime content across streaming platforms today, with stories about the Menendez brothers and Johnny Deppâs defamation trial becoming subjects of much interest, documentaries covering the alleged crimes of Diddy are now joining the fray.
Considering his undeniable influence on the music industry and his impact on the hip-hop culture, the downfall of Diddy marks a significant moment for Hollywood. Through his record label Bad Boy Records, Diddy launched the careers of several popular artists including prominent names such as Mary J. Blige. The labelâs star-studded roster also boasted musicians like Mariah Carey, Usher and The Notorious BIG. However, as the public image of Diddy began to crumble in November 2023 following singer Cassie Venturaâs sexual assault allegations against him, the rapperâs celebrity friends began distancing themselves from him.
Among the very few artists who have addressed the Diddy scandal are rappers Ice Cube and 50 Cent. While performing in Las Vegas, Ice Cube publicly addressed the arrest of Diddy and informed his fans that they would not find him on any of the controversial tapes. He said, âMe and W.C. ainât never been to a Diddy party.âA long-time rival of Diddyâs, rapper 50 Cent also revealed in an interview that he had never hung out with the âVictoryâ singer or attended his infamous parties. In fact, the rapper (originally, Curtis James Jackson III) is also working with Netflix to develop a docuseries based on Diddy and his downfall.
Besides the upcoming Netflix docuseries set to address the scandal, here are all the other documentaries about Diddy and where you can watch them.

IMPACT x Nightline: Diddy: Drugs, Lies & Freak Offs
Streaming on:Â Hulu
Besides his sexual assault and racketeering charges, another interesting point covered in Huluâs Diddy: Drugs, Lies & Freak Offs documentary is the comparison it draws between the fallen music mogul and fellow disgraced rapper R. Kelly. The documentary features an interview with Lizzette Martinez, a survivor of R. Kellyâs abuse, who shares her experience of meeting Diddy in the late 1990s.
In the interview, Martinez recalls, âHeâs like, âHey, you have really pretty eyes.â And said, âHey, Iâm having a party. You want to come with me?’â. Looking back on the incident, she said, âI didnât have a good feeling about it and I just declined. Thinking about it now, itâs like, âWow, I really dodged a bullet.’â While speaking about Diddyâs allegations, Martinez also reveals how R. Kelly and Diddy are âa lot alike,â claiming that they are both âpredatorsâ who like to manipulate their victims.
The documentary also interviews Tiffany Red, a producer, songwriter, and a close acquaintance of Diddyâs former partner Cassie Ventura. Notably, Ventura filed a now-settled lawsuit against Diddy in November, accusing him of assault.

With a runtime of one hour, this ABC News special is similar to other Diddy documentaries in that it explores the multiple allegations being faced by the musician and the complete timeline of his downfall. The news special also consists of an interview with Lizzette Martinez who reacts to the upsetting CNN video showing Diddy beating his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. The docuseries also features the accounts of ABC News legal contributor and defence attorney Brian Buckmire, as well as that of culture critic and writer Jamilah Lemieux, both of whom share their analyses of the ongoing case and how it could change the music industry.
Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy

Streaming on:Â Peacock
The 90-minute film offers a candid look at the journey of Sean âDiddyâ Combs as he went on to become one of the most influential figures in the hip-hop industry. Shedding light on his brush with fame, it uncovers the transformation of how Puff Daddy turned into Diddy through interviews with those who have known the rapper since his early days. The documentary covers the accounts of significant people who were a part of his inner circle including childhood friends and former bodyguards.
Among the many damning details presented by the documentary, the account of a former Bad Boy record-label employee â who knew Combs around 2015 or 2016 particularly stands out â as he opens up about being sent on âmissionsâ to ârecruitâ girls for the rapperâs infamous parties. The ex-employee alleges how every âDiddy partyâ turned into a âfreak-off,â and he claims that he once saw Combs go into a room with two girls who were âfor sureâ underage. Allegedly, the trio did not emerge for 24 hours.
Another shocking interview from the documentary exposes details about Diddyâs family as Tim Patterson, a childhood friend of Combsâ, recalls how the rapperâs mother, Janice, allegedly held parties that exposed a young Diddy to sex, alcohol, and âpimpsâ at an early age.
Investigation Discoveryâs The Fall of Diddy

Streaming on:Â Discovery+
Yet another docuseries attempting to unearth fresh insights into the Diddy scandal has been Investigation Discoveryâs four-parter, which aired from January 28 to January 31 2025. Following the success of their previous series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, which explored the darker side of childhood stardom in 2024, the new Diddy documentary takes a similar approach in finding firsthand accounts of those close to the subject.
The documentary also explores the rapperâs pre-fame days by interviewing a classmate of Combs from Howard University from 1988, who describes an incident in which he allegedly beat his girlfriend with a belt outside her dormitory. Also speaking out in the documentary is Thalia Graves, who alleges that Combs spiked her drink and violently assaulted her in the summer of 2001 inside his Bad Boy Records studio. She recalls her horror of finally being able to escape the studio, saying, âI was terrified. I didnât want to die.â
Investigation Discovery also sheds light on Diddyâs past legal troubles by interviewing Natania Griffin. Griffin was victim of the infamous 1999 New York City nightclub shooting, in which the rapper was involved.
Untitled Netflix documentary

Release date: Not confirmed
Director Alexandria Stapleton and 50 Cent are teaming up with Netflix to make another addition to the list of documentaries about Diddy. The docuseries will tackle the complex narrative of Diddyâs stardom and the alleged abuse of his power. In an exclusive statement given to Variety, 50 Cent suggested that the docuseries will go beyond the headlines and everything that has been covered so far. The statement also added, âWhile the allegations are disturbing, we urge all to remember that Sean Combsâ story is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the cultureâs broader contributions.â
While a release date for the upcoming project is yet to be revealed, 50 Cent has already began trolling his longtime professional rival in social media posts. Besides Diddy, the âCandy Shopâ rapper has also openly taken digs at Jay-Z, who was named in a sexual assault lawsuit alongside Diddy in a filing from December 2024. A now-deleted AI video initially posted online by 50 Cent showed Diddy and Jay-Z being handcuffed and taken into custody.
