A Missouri man has been charged for the second time in a year with trying to engage in a sexual act with a seat on the MetroLink.

Deangelo Covington was charged this week by St Louis County prosecutors with two counts of misdemeanour sexual misconduct. A woman told investigating officers that on February 13th she saw a man exposing himself at the UMSL South MetroLink Station, according to Fox 2 Now.
On the same day, police said the man took a train at the Central West End Station and took out his genitals when it arrived at the Lambert Airport Station. He allegedly proceeded to have sex with the upper bar of one of the train seats for about ten minutes – and the incident was caught on surveillance video, according to police.
Covington was released from county jail about ten weeks ago on a sexual misconduct charge in June. He had been seen by a train engineer with his genitals exposed and attempting to engage in sexual activity with a seat. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 173 days in jail.
On February 25th, Covington was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual misconduct, and in a hearing on March 3rd, a judge denied his request to reduce his $50,000 bond.
Kevin Scott, Bi-State Development General Manager of Security said: “The first thing we do is we start pulling video. So in this particular case, we’re able to provide very detailed, very descriptive video.” He confirmed that Covington is on an exclusionary list and will receive a lifetime ban from the trains, Fox 2 Now reported.
