Chechnya’s warlord leader sneeringly referred to Tesla boss Elon Musk as ‘Elona’ while warning the entrepreneur that his friend Vladimir Putin would hammer him in a fight if they ever came to blows.

Ramzan Kadyrov hit out at Musk with the slurs on messaging service Telegram a day after the SpaceX founder challenged the despotic Russian president to a fight.

Kadyrov – whose country is notorious for torturing and killing gay men – issued a homophobic broadside, writing: ‘You’ll need to pump up those muscles in order to change from the (effeminate) Elona into the brutal Elon you need to be.’

The diatribe had begun threateningly, with Kadyrov snarling: ‘Elon Musk, a word of advice. Don’t measure your strength against that of Putin’s.

‘You’re in two completely different leagues.’

Kadyrov, who has been pictured cuddling up to Putin, 69, continued: ‘Vladimir Vladimirovich will look unsportsmanlike when he beats the hell out of you, a much weaker opponent.’ He used Putin’s Christian and middle names, before outlining his hypothetical plan to ‘train’ Musk, 50.

That involved firearms training at the Russian Special Forces University, a trip to the Akhmat Fight Club to ‘be trained to take a punch’ and a visit to the Grozny Chechen State television and Radio Broadcasting company, to learn what Kadyrov dubbed ‘American methods of ‘black PR’.’

Kadyrov signed off his missive: ‘You will return from the Chechen Republic a completely different person Elona, that is, Elon.’

Musk appeared non-plussed by Kadyrov’s venom, and shared a translation of the message with his 78 million followers, before changing his display name to Elona.

The ultra macho Kadyrov, who is frequently pictured in military garb, carrying a gun or sometimes carrying an alligator, told Musk on Twitter that he’s too much of a girly-man to take on the Russian invader.

‘You’ll need to pump up those muscles in order to change from the gentle (effeminate) Elona into the brutal Elon you need to be.’

He proposed a get-tough regime to get the Space X entrepreneur into fighting shape.

‘I propose training at one of the several centers in the Chechen Republic,’ he said.
