Despite his controversies, Chris is certainly not known for biting his tongue and acknowledged cancel culture while presenting the 2019 New York Film Critics Circle Awards.
Chris went on to say that fear of cancel culture led comedians to produce boring and unfunny content, prompting fans to criticize him for enabling a culture of toxic comedy.
