Ms. Marin, a native of Fresno, CA, is a performer of many facets. She started with dance at age three in classical ballet, jazz, contemporary and funk. Drawn to the freedom of the stage and intense discipline of classical dance from early on, she earned summer scholarships studying with Boston Ballet and Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH) during high school. Ms. Marin relocated to NYC after accepting a company contract with DTH. While touring nationally and Internationally she performed works by Arthur Mitchell, George Balanchine, Robert Garland, Michael Smuin and many others, at venues such as Lincoln Center, Sadlerβs Wells, Zellerbach Hall and The White House. She continued her collegiate studies at CUNYβs City College focusing in creative writing, taking night classes in between tours and rehearsal. After five years of inspiring time with the troupe, she left to study acting at NYCβs William Esper Studio under the guidance of Mr. Terry Knickerbocker, and continues to study privately with Rob McCaskill. Since completing the two-year Meisner program, Ms. Marin actively performs and works in Film, Television, Commercial, Print, and Voiceover projects in the realms of acting and dance. Most recently she has worked with film directors Scott Frank (A Walk Among The Tombstones 2014) and Rob Meyer (A Birder’s Guide To Everything Tribeca Film Festival 2013, 2nd Place Audience Award), and guest starred on NBC’s Blue Bloods and HBOβs The Leftovers. She is currently developing her talents behind the camera writing short films, memoirs, and poetry. She is actively enrolled in the LEAP program through St Mary’s College of California. She loves Improv at Upright Citizens Brigade. She currently resides in NYC, and has a cat named Leo.
