What are the most unnecessary sex scenes in the books and TV series of Game Of Thrones:?
We all know it gets a bit hot and steamy sometimes in Game Of Thrones and that inhabitants enjoy getting down and dirty just as much as they like running someone through with a sword.
So it was of interest to hear author George R R Martin’s comments in response to calls for more gay sex in his novels last week that he ‘wasn’t going to shy away from doing it if it has to happen, but I don’t just think you can insert things because everyone wants to see them’.
The books and shows are stuffed full of sex already, most of it to the good of the story and most of it absolutely furthers a character’s storyline or relationship (much has been already said about the validity of the incestuous rape scene between Jaime and Cersei in the show) but let’s take a closer look at some of those other carnal relations in both the books and the show to see if yes, they were really necessary…
