It’s insane to me that when we’re kids were told to dream, and then when we grow up the same people tell us to “be realistic”. It’s almost like, at the moment our dreams could actually be realized, we become anchored down by the very people who encouraged our flight.
So in the end, safe people keep living safe lives and no one ever gets to have their dream realized. We pass on fear from generation to generation. And contribute to a world paralyzed from creating the best possible future, out of fear of a worse possible outcome, which also never becomes reality.
That’s messed up.
We give up on our dreams in fear of nightmares… Only to realize, often too late, that unrealized dreams are souls greatest nightmare. In the end, we send the message that safe is better than failing and settling is better than happy. Wow.
Let’s pass on that dreams are actually meant to be plans and that love is meant to be free, not attached to living in a box and playing safe. Let’s tell our friends and family to dream and to chase them, and when they do let that be the inspiration for us to do the same. Let’s not squash them to join us, but instead rise and meet them.

I loved acting/drama class as a child and always enjoyed the arts. I didn’t begin modeling much until 18 years old but I did it from a small town and was driving to Los Angeles and San Francisco a few times a week. I eventually moved to LA and that’s when I dedicated myself to trying to make it a career. Because I am so hard on myself there were times I would get really discouraged and go weeks between booking work. So it was never easy but always something I would enjoy. For every “yes” there are many “nos” but I am finally at a point in my life where I don’t let it get to me anymore. Especially with acting, it can be very stressful always putting yourself out there.
