Seregon O’Dassey [1],[2],[3],[4],[5]: From Cremation To Titillation
ONE TO WATCH FOR
Rent horror flick “Ghostwatcher 2” on DVD and you might see a familiar face. Allentown resident Seregon O’Dassey has a supporting role as Melanie Cain, the older sister of a young girl who starts hearing voices.
The film, which was released directly to DVD in late October, is available at local Blockbuster stores and online at amazon.com.
O’Dassey graduated from Liberty High School in the late 1990s, but she had a different name. She wants to keep her real name, as well as her age, a secret, she says.
“The industry knows me as 24 years old, so I have to stick to that,” says O’Dassey. “In this business, women are like cars that depreciate the longer you have them. Once you hit 24 or 25, they start asking how much use they are going to get out of you.”
In addition to doing commercials for Yuengling Lager and the Phillies, O’Dassey has had small parts on TV shows, including “Sex & The City,” “Forensic Files” and “Law & Order: SVU,” and in films like “War of the Worlds.”
She’s also been featured as a “Hometown Hottie” in Maxim magazine, and will have a small feature in the “Employee of the Month” section of Playboy magazine.
Appearing in men’s magazines is a double-edged sword, O’Dassey says.
“On the one hand, you have to prove you’re not just a pretty face. On the other hand, there are a lot of people who aren’t good-looking enough to be in a men’s magazine,” she says. “You just have to be careful how you carry it.”
A model as well as an actress, O’Dassey‘s been through basic training in the Marines and has trained in fencing and swordfighting. She also attended Moravian College and Northampton Community College, where she specialized in Mortuary Science.
“I’m not a squeamish person,” O’Dassey says. “I like to know what’s going on behind the scenes.”

An interview with Seregon O’Dassey (May 2007)
What has been the high point of your career so far?
Achieving my goals. In the past 2 years I’ve had 2 movies come out on the shelf and I finally got into Playboy Magazine (after 5 years of trying). I’ve been acting and modeling since I was a teenager, so to finally reap some rewards and have all the hard work start to pay off feels very good.
And the lowest?
I’m not sure if there is one specific thing that I consider the lowest point in my career, but one of the low points is having the industry be so cutthroat. It’s difficult to have friends in this business, so I cherish the ones that I do have. What part of the industry really pisses you off?
There are a couple of things. But mainly it would be nice to meet someone without the expectation of a date. It’s also infuriating to read casting notices where almost everyone wants nudity, and they expect you to work for free! That, to me, is the height of disrespect.
Interview: Seregon O’Dassey (Dec 2011)
Your websites all state that you do not do porn. Do you have to put that up there because you get inundated with offers from sleaze balls wanting to take nude pictures of you? How do you deal with that? Is there a perception that because you’re an attractive scream queen that you’ll do porn? Do you have anything you want to say to the people who have tried to get you to do sleazy pornos?
You wouldn’t believe the crap I’ve had to put up with. I get idiots wanting to give me massages, tie me up (oh and I can’t bring an escort!), ask me what my “limitations in film” are…seriously…get a life! You want to make a p*rn movie? Go hire a p*rn actor. The reason I have a disclaimer on my personal website is because some adult sites link models’ names into their search engines.
