When I first heard Miley Cyrus was filming Two and a Half Men, I got excited. I thought she was finally going to be releasing a sex tape. But turns out itâs just that terrible Ashton Kutcher show. Still, as dumb as the show is these days, Iâve got to hand it to the producers. Theyâve finally learned the secret to distracting viewers from all the lame jokes: show Miley Cyrus in lingerie. Iâm surprised itâs taken them this long. Iâve been using that trick for years.

Miley Cyrus Feminist? Nudity, Sex Should Be âBeautiful,â But Contradicts Her Antics
Is Miley Cyrus a feminist? That and other statements about nudity and sex will probably shock you. But maybe we should be done being surprised by anything that might fall out of her mouthâŠ
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, some people are calling Miley Cyrus a bad role model for teenagers. But Miley herself says sheâs not âany kind of role model.â
Besides the infamous VMAs performance and the nude Wrecking Ball video, Cyrus has purposefully smoked marijuana at MTV awards and basically done everything she can to shock the world with her raunchy behavior. She explains away this action by saying she knew the fans would love it, would make âthe whole place go super wild,â and she admits she just doesnât âgive A FUCK.â
Amazingly, Miley claims reactions to these stunts are âway overblownâ and she isnât âdoing anything that outrageous.â Although she admits ânobody would have been talking about the VMAs if I hadnât given that performanceâŠ. Music needs to be shaken up now and a lot of the stuff I did on stage was actually edited out by MTV.â But then she back pedals back on that statement, claiming sheâs ânot trying to consciously be shocking or different or create some sort of fake image.â She couldnât seem to help contradicting herself once again moments later by saying, âI didnât really know how people would react although I wanted to shake things up.â So which is it?
But at one point, the questions veered toward Miley Cyrusâ nude videos. She seems to think Americans are too prudish when it comes to sex and nudity:
âI think thereâs a big misconception when it comes to young people and sex. Kids can see almost everything on TV or on the internet now so it doesnât make sense for parents not to talk to their kids about sex or to pretend that kids and teenagers arenât thinking about it. Sex should be seen as something very beautiful and expressive. It shouldnât be covered up and people shouldnât be made to feel ashamed about it because thatâs what creates problems and f*cks people up. Sex should be seen as something magical and how people connect with each other in a beautiful way.â
Sounds like something Sky Ferreira said after her nude album cover caused similar controversy. Itâs not the pop stars who are the problem, itâs that Americans are the problem for not understanding them.
For example, for Miley Cyrusâ Wrecking Ball video she says the nudity was just a shallow veneer people were supposed to see past:
âThat video was one of the hardest things Iâve ever done. Being naked while doing it might get you to look at it, but then you have to get past the nudity and see the sadness in me. Itâs about feeling broken inside and thatâs something so many young people I think can relate to.â
The whole interview portrayed Miley as trying to make a âboldly sexual feminist statementâ with her âcrotch-rubbing, tongue-flicking stage persona.â Miley Cyrus even directly claims she is a feminist:
âI feel like Iâm one of the biggest feminists in the world because I tell women to not be scared of anything.â
But such antics have triggered a a backlash against all the female nudity being put on display as overwhelming marketing ploys by pop stars and Hollywood celebs. For example, Melissa Joan Hart rejected a $1 million Playboy offer and says Miley Cyrus is putting too much out there. Avril Lavigne wonât use nude photos and sex to further her career.
Even pop star Katy Perry is saying Miley Cyrusâ nude romps are going too far:
âI mean, itâs like everybodyâs so naked. Itâs like put it away. We know youâve got it. I got it tooâŠ. Iâm just saying sometimes itâs nice to play that card but also itâs nice to play other cards. And I know I have that sexy card in my deck but I donât always have to use that card.â
But the most stinging indictment came from Sinead OâConnor, who tried warning Miley Cyrus that the music industry was âprostitutingâ her for money, after Cyrus openly admitted her Wrecking Ball video was inspired by OâConnorâs work:
âThey will prostitute you for all you are worth, and cleverly make you think itâs what YOU wanted and when you end up in rehab as a result of being prostituted.â
But Miley did not heed the advice and instead lashed out by making fun of Sineadâs mental health issues, causing OâConnor to threaten a lawsuit.

Madonna’s mini-me! Miley Cyrus is naked on yet another magazine cover. The “We Can’t Stop” singer is making an appearance on the upcoming cover of Vogue Germany’s March issue.
Miley Cyrus Poses Topless, Channels Madonna in Vogue Germany
On the cover (ahem, make that three!) the 21-year-old songstress channels her best Madonna with her blonde locks in curls. In one feature, Cyrus seductively caresses her red lips with her fingers in a stunning close-up. “very xxxited about this cover,” she tweeted of the sultry snapshot on Feb. 6.
Miley Cyrus 100% On Board With Topless Nudity
No. 2 shows a full-length body shot in a black bra and high-waisted retro undies, and in the third Cyrus goes topless, and covers her chest with both her hands. The look is reminiscent to Madonna channeling Marilyn Monroe in her 1985 music video for “Material Girl.”
Earlier this week, the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s March 2014 cover of W magazine was also revealed. Cyrus stripped down and was only covered up by a pillow for the spread.
“I like that I’m associated with sexuality and the kind of punk-rock sh– where we just don’t care,” Cyrus told MSNBC’s Ronan Farrow for its Social Media issue. “I just don’t get what girls are wearing, everyone to me seems like Vanna White.”
I bet she’ll be receiving a call from Terry soon.
The larger picture to pay attention to is: will the next generation of American Celebrity follow suit? I have no doubt Lady Gaga’s recent Candy shoot by Steven Klein played a part in Miley’s decision. Is America ready to embrace nudity?
