The first image of Alicia Vikander in “Ex Machina” has been released, and it’s definitely a strange one which reveals a lot about the film’s sci-fi roots.
The film follows Caleb (Domhnall Gleeson), a young computer coder, who is invited to the home of the CEO of the world’s largest internet company (Oscar Iassc). Unbeknownst to Caleb, Isaac’s character has brought him in to test out the world’s first completely artificial intelligent machine. Vikander plays the robot.
The new image from the film shows off her female robot’s essentially completely metallic body, as she peers up at other human-like faces hanging on a wall. Alex Garland wrote and made his directorial debut on the film.
There is a Swedish release date set, but no word on when American audiences will be able to see “Ex Machina.” For now, take a look at the first image of Vikander’s character below.
