Dora Pereli & Lena Young: Full Frontal in The Coed and the Zombie Stoner (2014)
As far as I can ascertain, both Dora Pereli and Lena Hwang are first-timers to nudity world and boy, did they go the distance. Dora look quite familiar as do Lena. Maybe it’s just me. They have this ‘porno face’. Girls who dabble in porn, appearing in one or two scenes before quitting. The two unlikeliest girls to get naked on-cam bonded off it judging from the tweets and IG love. My admiration and congrats to the pair for taking the nudity plunge with such audaciousness.
Hailing from Boston, Dora is into yoga, dancing and singing. She’s also an improv and stage artist. Accomplished cello player and vocalist. The puny honey was also recipient of several awards in performing arts back in high-school. Dora is obviously very comfortable with her body but something tells me her family back home is still in dark about Dora’s daring nude excursion.

Lena is Korean-American. Just like her co-star Dora, she’s really into yoga, singing and an experienced fashion editor-cum-model back in Korea. In her own words:
I am an L.A. based actress/model. I’m always looking forward to working with artists with new concepts and ideas. I worked as a fashion editor for major magazines in Korea and was fortunate enough to work with very professional and well established photographers in Korea. Now I am expecting to expand my portfolio as a model and an editor after moving to L.A.

An Interview With Dora [05/01/2013]
What made you decide to pursue acting?
I decided about my freshman year of high school that I wanted to pursue
acting. What got me hooked were musicals like Rent, Mama Mia, Wicked,
Legally Blonde etc. So, my initial want was to be on Broadway for
musical theater. I wanted to be singing, dancing, acting, jumping
around, big smiles….the whole nine yards. But as I’ve gotten older,
I’ve changed my idea of what it means to pursue acting; it’s become more
realistic. I’ve realized that this type of acting, musical theater, has the least to do with acting well, its all about singing and dancing well.I want to focus on my acting because, for me, theater is meant to change the way people think and in result change the world.If someone does not like a play, but it made them rethink their beliefs,
then I believe the play was successful. I am not interested in
an audience “having fun”, but instead setting off a trigger in them and
bringing them to a place they have never been before.
Have you ever had an audition that didn’t go so well? If so, how did you handle it?
Absolutely. This happens all of the time, considering how often
actors audition. I’ve gotten a lot better about not beating myself up
after an audition that didn’t go well. I try to just forget about it,
and go and surround myself with friends after an audition just to get it
out of my head. I have to remember that there is nothing else I can do
to change what happend in the audition because it’s all done and over
with. So I try to leave everything in the audition room and keep myself
busy after and leave it in the hands of the judges!
How important is perseverance to an actor?
Perseverance is a word true actors live by. If you do not persevere,
you will not succeed. We are told that everyday. It is easy to gain a
role in a high school because you are one of few who wants to actually
pursue acting. Though once you get into college, people are in for a
reality check when they are not cast in any shows. This causes actors to
get extremely sensitive when they don’t get cast in something. Many
people who will go on to being actors will soon learn that being upset
and sensitive about not getting a role is not going to fly; they need to
persevere. I went through this exact experience, but I feel as though I
am coming out of this phase and learning how important perseverance is.
When I don’t get cast in shows, I don’t beat myself up about it. I use
that rejection as motivation, and I work even harder and audition even
more. We have to remember if you are not cast, it isn’t because you are
not good enough, but because you are just not the right fit.
Who inspires you to pursue your goals/dreams?
My parents inspire me to follow my goals and dreams. They have always
advocated that I should do whatever makes me happy and I am so lucky
that they have always supported me. Also, people who doubt me and say
“good luck with that” inspire me even more because I want to prove them
wrong. So it is the combination of my supporters and my doubters that
creates the perfect balance of pursuing my dreams!
