Christina Aguilera is encouraging fans to get a little dirrty.
For those unaware, Aguilera provided a definition fromUrban Dictionary that helpfully explained, “Celebrated on March 14th, Steak and Blowjob day is a holiday for men, celebrated the month after Valentine’s Day — a holiday for women.”
I didn’t even know Steak and BJ day was a thing, but it sounds like a lot of fun, unless you are a person who only eats steak or gives blow jobs once a year because your boyfriend was like “well, it’s a holiday” but you ordinarily don’t like those things. In that case, I hope you know that it’s okay not to like either of those events, and you don’t have to get involved just because you’re being pressured into it. Steak is wonderful but it’s not the only food on the menu if you’re not into it.
“The idea is simple: no cards, flowers, candy or other whimsical gifts. Ladies (and gay men), you simply bestow your partner with a steak and a blowjob. Not necessarily in that order,” says the site.
The, um, holiday was actually last week but, uh, better late than never?
If we’re going to make the male equivalent of Valentine’s Day dependent on steak and blow jobs, I propose a name change for February 14th to Cunnilingus and Empanada Day, but you can swap in something different for the empanadas. I just love those little meat pockets. But I digress; let’s get back to Xtina.
Is there a better image on earth than that of Aguilera, sitting at her computer and thinking “you know, I’m really worried that my Twitter followers may have forgotten about Steak and BJ Day. Let me look online, find a pithy description, screen shot it, and Tweet it out. Positive Karma is headed my way.” I love when celebrities are concerned about their followers’ well-being, and this is a fantastic reminder of an important issue. I hope this is the start of a new breed of celebrity PSAs. A girl can dream!
